Don't you dare show your colours....Believe it or not, one can identify your mood based on the colour you are wearing. The colours we wear also evokes a particular human response whether or not we are aware of it. Let's take a look:
Brown - Brown is a neutral color that evokes feelings of calm.
Blue - Blues convey feelings of calm, trust, and confidence. Darker blues (like navy) convey authority and confidence. Blue is also many people's favorite colour.
Gray - Gray is another great neutral color for outfits. It evokes sophistication and neutrality. Gray is a great color to wear as a suit or dress; it allows you to look powerful, but is not quite as domineering as a black suit or dress.
Black - Black is a very popular color for suits and dresses. However, black is a very commanding color that conveys a lot of power, authority, and even drama. Using black as an accent color (for example, in a scarf or tie) can give you a bit of that sense of authority without being overwhelming.
Red - Red is a bright, powerful color that conveys energy and passion. A pop of red (for example, in a scarf or tie) can convey just the right amount of passion without making you appear too emotional.
White - Crisp and clean, white is a great color for shirts and blouses. The color conveys truth and simplicity, and adds a bit of brightness without being too overwhelming.
Yellow-Sunny shades of yellow are the perfect thing to cheer you up on a bad day, so if you’re feeling down, wearing yellow could help perk you back up. Yellow is also associated with intelligence and inspiration.
Orange-Like red, orange draws attention and energy, but unlike intense red, it’s a little more soothing. While orange is a difficult color for some skin tones to pull off, if you have the coloring to work it, orange will help put you in a positive, energetic mood.
Purple-Regal and sophisticated, purple is associated with creativity and luxury. Like red, purple is a very stimulating color which can boost your energy level when you see it. It’s also a color that’s sometimes associated with spirituality and intuition.
Green-Shades of green are calm and soothing, as well as associated with nature and the outdoors. That’s why green is one of spring’s most popular shades. Green is also refreshing and has been found to reduce stress in those who look at it.
Pink-Of course we all know pink as the true girly-girl’s favorite color, but it’s also associated with romance and happiness. Pink is very calming.
So! What colour says you???
